On Saturday, February 28th Hannah and Kiernan
were able to attend Saturday's surf lesson since they missed their Wednesday
lesson (due to our Melbourne trip). I took along the camera and caught so many
great pictures of them doing their thing! Both of them were standing on the
board many times. They were so proud and so was I! Now that they both have the
hang of it it’ll be fun to watch them gain confidence and improve over the next
3 lessons.
In case you are wondering, Hannah has a bandage on her head because she ran into the trunk hatch door when we got home from Melbourne the night before. It sliced her forehead right open and looked pretty terrible. I was sure we were going to have to go to the hospital for stitches or glue. It's looking better after 12 hours, and the saltwater probably cleaned it out good.

On Saturday night we went to Tim and Leah's place for a fish and chips dinner. The fish is what is called flake, which apparently is often gummy shark. So...we can say we've tried shark now! They also had their friends, Rob and Maureen, over to join us. It was great to meet another family. The kids had fun with their kids on the trampoline, playing with bubbles, singing karoake, and watching Finding Nemo. The food was great too! There was plenty of talk about cricket, which we hope to understand by the time we head back to the U.S.
